After a good 3 months of consistently wearing my acrylics it was time to take them off. To remove them I filed them down instead of soaking them off, because soaking is a little time consuming.
I then buffed my natural nails smooth with a fine turtle board so that they would be ready to take the polish.
I used these 3 Essie nail polishes. The first one is a strengthening base coat which I applied generously because after so long in acrylics my nails were very soft and weak.
I used 2 coats of the next one. I do not know what it is called but it is a sheer creamy color which I love. you can see above that even with 2 coats it is very sheer.
Lastly I used 1 coat of the last. This one is called Sheer Pearlfection. I LOVE this color! It gives the nail a beautiful pearl finish. I like putting these types of polishes on top of others for that extra kick.
I'm going to try to avoid acrylics for a little while, because I cant type with them on and over time they are not very good for the natural nail.
Essie polishes have become my favorite polishes! Even though they are a little expensive they have been the only polishes I can wear for a few days without any chipping! Everything else I have tried chips within a few hours!
*sigh*
