In order to detangle, I simply spray the hair with water and slather it with conditioner. I then take medium to small sections and use a Denman type or paddle brush, starting from the ends and working my way up to the root.
I'm the type to make sure I get out all or almost all of the knots. Otherwise, I find I will get breakage and that is not an option for me at this point.
After I detangled I washed and DC with Lekairs overnight, with my hair braided in 2 and covered with a plastic cap. I rinsed out in the morning and threw my hair into a bun.
To sleep, I remove my ponytail holder and braid my ends up into one big braid and cover with a satin scarf. In the morning, I either cowash or spray with my water/conditioner/oil mix to refresh and put back into the bun.
I will keep doing this until my ponytails come in the mail. :)
My next length check is in a month and I feel like I may have had a set back from overusing the BKT. Will see whats good next month.
